This gentle 5-week infant massage course takes place in the comfort of my South East London home, offering a welcoming space for parents and caregivers to learn, connect, and unwind. Each week focuses on a different area of your baby’s body, gradually building your confidence as you develop a nurturing massage routine tailored to your little one’s needs and cues. We also cover a variety of theory topics, including colic, crying, behavioural states and more.
In Week 1, we begin with the legs and feet—an ideal starting point, as most babies find these strokes soothing and familiar. We also explore infant cues, helping you recognise when your baby is ready to engage or needs a break.
Week 2 focuses on the tummy, with techniques that can help ease colic, wind, and digestive discomfort.
In Week 3, we move on to the chest and arms, supporting relaxation and encouraging a sense of openness and comfort.
Week 4 is dedicated to the face, including gentle techniques for congestion and teething relief and the back, offering calming strokes that can support sleep and overall wellbeing.
Week 5 brings a close to our time together and we will practice a full body massage and introduce ‘gentle movements’ which aid in cognitive, gross and fine motor development in your little one.
Each class ends with time to socialise over coffee and homemade cakes—a lovely chance to chat, share experiences, and build community with other local families.
