Hi! My name is Dominique. I’m an NHS doctor who has been working in paediatrics for the last 3 years and have always been interested in the benefits of touch and massage. Ever since I was a child I’ve always wanted to be stroked or cuddled or massaged, and through my job I’ve seen how powerful touch can be in making people feel safe, calm, and loved. This is what inspired me to undertake the IAIM infant massage instructor course so that I can bring this benefit to as many families as possible.

I have experience with babies who are premature or who have complex health needs, and have seen the challenges families face in what is often a difficult and emotional time. I would therefore love to create a space where these families in particular feel able to connect with their babies and find community through massage! That said, I believe that every baby can benefit from massage, so welcome families of all shapes and backgrounds to attend my classes.

My classes are inclusive of race, gender, sexuality, and disability, and offer an intentional space.

I am offering a free group course in May in East London as part of my instructor training.

This is an interactive, 5-week, small group course where you will learn the strokes to massage your baby. You will learn theory about how to recognise when your baby is ready for a massage, understanding your baby's cues, the benefits of baby massage, and a routine to help relieve colic. You will also have the opportunity to connect with other parents over some much needed tea, coffee, and snacks!

There is no minimum age for your baby to attend (premature babies who have been discharged home are also welcome), but babies must be no older than 12 months. You are welcome to come with your partner, relative, or friend for support, but only the parent or primary caregiver will be giving the massage in the session - babies tend to fall in love with the person massaging them and we want that to be you!
